This is the "meat and potatoes" of the whole site. This is the reason for it's existance.

View Listings:

Visitors may browse the database free of charge and do not have to be registered with the site to do so. Registration is encouraged however and all registered visitors will be eligible to subscribe to the site's newsletter.

On this page, visitors will be queried as to the nature of their search. They will choose from simple menus and that portion of the data base will be presented to them. For instance: they may choose bulls, bull calves and steers from Hart, Oldham and Bullitt counties. When they key in their choices, only the clients that meet that criteria will have their livestock shown to this visitor.

Each record (page) of the database will have a seller number assigned to it. Each seller will also have an inhouse mail address that corresponds to the seller number; i.e. seller number 1001 also has an email address of 1001@kentuckylivestockexchange.com.

All messages that are sent to this address will be forwarded to the email address that the seller gave at registration. This provides a method of contact between the potential buyer and the seller while effectively protecting the identity of both.

The nature and duration of the relationship are then in the hands of the buyer and seller.

Post Listings:

Sellers must register and pay a small fee ($15.00/90 days, $27.50/6 months or $50.00/year) for the use of an assigned portion of the database.

Sellers can list any manor of livestock alone or together on their assigned space. Each space will consist of 10 separate sub-records for that seller. An example of a listing might be:

LINE 1: Bull(s)-Quantity-Oldham county-(a brief description of the animal or group of animals in so many words)-photo-price.

LINE 2: Bred Cow(s)-Quantity-Oldham county-(a brief description of the animal or group of animals in so many words)-photo-price.

LINE 3: Ponies-Quantity-Oldham county-(a brief description of the animal or group of animals in so many words)-photo-price.

...LINE 10: Poultry-Quantity-Oldham county-(description in so many words)-photo-price

Sellers can list animals individually or in groups. Adequate choices will be given on the pull down menus and in the description blocks to portray your stock in a favorable way.

During the period that the seller is in good standing with KLE, the seller can edit, change, delete or add new listings to the data base. Should the seller need another page to list all of their animals, they will simply register, pay the fee and be assigned another page of 10 lines to work with.

Each seller will be assigned a seller number and a corresponding email address to allow buyers to contact them directly. Any buyer queries to the seller will pass through this email address and be forwarded to the address the seller gave during registration. This insures seller anonymity until they choose to disclose it. Sellers will be able present as much or as little of their personal identification (i.e. phone numbers, address, website url) as they are comfortable with or they may retain complete anonymity using only their seller number and KLE email address. Further contact with the buyer is then at the discretion of the seller.

All trading and negotiations will occur between the buyer and seller after this initial contact. KLE has no interest, vested or otherwise, in the private treaty arrangements of sellers and buyers.
